Nick “NickMercs” Kolcheff is a well-known Fortnite player that is widely known to be one of the best controller players in the game, playing at a wide range of events and streaming to a growing community on Twitch that have adopted the name “MFAM” and has seen him become one of the biggest Fortnite streamers on the platform.

Referred to more as a content creator rather than professional Fortnite player, NickMercs recently left his former esports organisation, 100Theives, and was later announced to have entered into an agreement with popular esports team Faze Clan on 30th May 2019.

While the leaving of 100Thieves initially came as a surprise to the esports community, it was later revealed that promises that were made to NickMercs at the time of joining the organisation by Nadeshot were not honoured and Kolcheff opted to leave the organisation.

After a number of weeks as a free agent, a deal was struck between him and Faze Clan to see him become Faze NickMercs.

NickMercs is currently using an Alienware AW2518H 24.5 inch gaming monitor as he looks to compete on the competitive scene, making use of the 240hz refresh rate and 1ms response rate that it offers for the smoothest of gameplay.

This is a popular choice within the competitive and professional Fortnite scene and we have already seen that Fortnite World Cup Solos winner Bugha also uses this gaming monitor.

As one of the game’s most notable controller players, NickMercs has become known for his use of Scuf Infinity4PS Pro controller by Scuf Gaming.

The controller is designed for ‘elite’ gamers and features two paddles located on the back of the controller that allows for you to keep your thumbs on the sticks and make those decisive plays with ease.

It should be noted that while Nick prefers the Scuf Infinity4PS Pro, he has collaborated with Scuf Gaming to release an MFAM branded controller named MFAM Scuf Impact controller which can be used with both Playstation 4 and PC.

NickMercs does have a fiancé after he finally proposed to girlfriend Emumita Bonita, deciding to do so in front of his Twitch community by streaming the whole thing live on his channel for his followers to see.

Nick recently said that he expected the wedding to take place in 2020 however a date was not yet set and he was looking to allow Emu to arrange that based on her preference.
